Mike Womack, Pastor

camp

Mike and his wife Sherrie were both born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri in the U.S. Mike graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, in 1985 with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and for the past 26 years has held various roles in qualiity management within the manufacturing sector. Mike is currently employed by Raytheon Australia as the Continuous Improvement Manager on the AWD program.

Trained for ministry at the Kansas City Baptist Temple, Mike held various ministry roles within the church in discipleship, counseling and children's ministries during his 13 year membership. In 1995 he and his wife were led of the Lord to migrate to Adelaide, South Australia to work with First Bible Baptist Church in Redwood Park. In 2002, Mike and Sherrie along with Malcolm and Marie Lambert established Compass Baptist Church.

Malcolm Lambert, Deacon

camp

Malcolm and his wife Marie both came to know the Lord as a young couple in 1984 and since then they have seen the Lord do great things in and through them. Early on the Lord put in their hearts and minds to be servants for Him and after much prayer they completed a series of discipleship lessons designed to equip them with tools for life.

Soon the Lord lead Malcolm and Marie to get involved in their local church in the Sunday school working initially with five year olds and eventually the youth . In this environment they learned many things such as patience, perseverance, creativeness, concern and the ability to communicate effectively with the children of all ages by getting down to their level. Over the next few years the Lord moved them into more of a coordinating role where they were able to minister not only to the children but to the parents as well. Some of the greatest moments in their lives were seeing the youth be touched with the gospel, trust Christ and go on to live for Him.

In 2002, Malcolm and Marie started Compass Baptist Church with Mike and Sherrie, where Malcolm serves as the Deacon and leads the S.O.B.A. ministry.
